Hope everyone had a great time during the holidays!

Well this thread is a small update of things happening behind the scenes at PakkaDesi and things to come at our site!

There is no doubt we have been slacking with updates but now moderators have much more power with regards to site updates and maintainance! The problem was the Admin was overloaded with work and hence this effected both the mods and members!

As a result the Admin has shifted a bulk of the responsibility on the moderators so members would see a small overhaul of our sites

However, our main priority is organising our exisiting content and that includes the video archive! Over the coming few weeks we'll be slowly removing dead links, editing exisiting videos and moving the videos to their correct positions! What will this mean for members? It will mean a comprehensive and organised archive of videos for members to browse!

This doesn't mean updates will be sacrificed! We have set ourselves a target of approximately 5 free videos a day for normal members and a similar amount for donors! Ofcourse, there will be days with less updates but on average we will stick to a target!

Moderators...could you please explain why I am denied access to donor forum since past few weeks. I am certain my membership does not expire until September this year.

you still show up as a Donor. I am not sure why you are not able to access the donor forum. What message do you get when accessing the donor forum?

This is what we are aiming for but I want to make it clear that IT IS NOT GUARANTEED. We will be coming out with an announcement WRT the Dhamaka policy for the new year very soon.

It appears like I lost my Donor status a month earlier! I thought our status were extended by a month for lack of updates to the site! It appears like I lost two months from my membership.

Yes all donors had their status extended by one month. Please verify your last donation date - I am pretty sure your status lasted atleast 13 months.

Panav..I see a "lock" symbol on donor, help-desk and Annoucements forums. So I am assuming that I am denied access. Please clarify! Thanks

Panav, Iam also not able to access donor forum. I am sure that my donor membership is not one year old (I became a member sometime in March 2004). Can you please let me know why Iam shown as only "Registered user" and not "super donor"?

Well, first of all - we have lost much more than a month worth of updates. We have not seen updates again in last few weeks. Guess that does not count.

I made the payment on January 4th, 2004. So, my Donor status should be valid at least till Feb 4th, 2005.

Gentlemen,
We have not seen weekend dhamaka in last couple of weeks and I do not expect to see one this time either. I guess that is very close to a month. Our status changed even before a year although we are told the status will be extended by a month. By the time this problem is fixed I guess my Donor status will anyway expire.

On another note, have you guys switched servers? I get server busy error very often these days (Guess since a week).
